Description
The College of Humanities and Social Sciences promotes research, creativity, ethical formation and inquiry through critical, analytic and interdisciplinary study. Our college’s mission cultivates leaders in various fields of study through critical thinking and applied experience, linking theoretical foundations with practical application, which prepares students for today’s diverse and evolving workplace. The L.O.P.E.S. Academy at the Cardon Center is a new program at Grand Canyon University inspired by a young woman with an intellectual disability who has a strong desire to experience college life and fulfilling employment. The L.O.P.E.S. Academy mission is to provide an inclusive, immersive Christian university experience for individuals with moderate intellectual disabilities focused on finding personal purpose through academic, social and job skills development for successful independent living. This is a two-year, non-degree program. Your donation will go directly to supporting the L.O.P.E.S. Academy at the Cardon Center and participant scholarships.
